ArabiaGIS completed the 3rd phase of Najaf's e-municipality project

ArabiaGIS and Al-Najaf municipality have once again joined hands and have worked on the implementation of a new phase of the e-municipality project being implemented with a grant from the Al-Najaf construction council. The corporation has already released and implemented phase 1 and 2 of the project in various departments of the municipality and this release would just be a complementary phase that aims at full implementation of the e-municipality project.

ArabiaGIS and Al-Najaf municipality have once again joined hands and have worked on the implementation of a new phase of the e-municipality project being implemented with a grant from the Al-Najaf construction council. The corporation has already released and implemented phase 1 and 2 of the project in various departments of the municipality and this release would just be a complementary phase that aims at full implementation of the e-municipality project.

With the previous phases of this project released in other major departments like the properties, revenues, rent departments and the portal to be running successfully, the automation is now implemented in the urban planning department and in the six municipal pisions by connecting these pisions to the headquarters of the municipality and implementing the internal automation.

All the six municipality pisions in the municipality are linked to its headquarters through the wireless connections. The company has come out with applications for the urban planning department and all the municipality sections. The applications help in providing automation of citizen’s applications like building permits and property rent, surveyors’ automatic tracking of work and GIS applications which help in updating maps, navigating the updated satellite imagery and much more. One amazing feature about this project is the violations management and tracking from the field through the handheld devices which helps in taking photos and also connecting together the entire working architecture of the urban planning department with the municipality pisions.  

The project is well suited to improve maximum visibility, providing faster services for the citizens of the city. The municipality offices were also finding the application to be used simpler and faster in providing the services for the citizens and other agencies who are interested in information from the municipality. The application has helped in improving the workers effectiveness and monitoring.  

The launch of the project was a celebration, which event took place in the headquarters of Najaf municipality. The event was sponsored by the governor of Najaf and in the presence of the Najaf Municipality mayor. 

And we should say, in the presence of subject matter experts, decision makers from around the country and the media, ArabiaGIS representative, presented the project, its products and achievements to the audiences and they were very happy of the improvements and results.
