Revamping the Ministry of Environment Online Presence

The Lebanese Ministry of Environment funded by the Italian Cooperation Office was in great to have its web presence renovated. ArabiaGIS prolifically developed and designed a visually appealing portal (www.MOE.gov.lb) and created an innovative mobile application in order for the growing mobile community to access Lebanon’s main environmental information from anywhere and anytime.

The Lebanese Ministry of Environment funded by the Italian Cooperation Office was in great to have its web presence renovated. ArabiaGIS prolifically developed and designed a visually appealing portal (www.MOE.gov.lb) and created an innovative mobile application in order for the growing mobile community to access Lebanon’s main environmental information from anywhere and anytime.

The portal was developed in two languages – Arabic and English – and ArabiaGIS coordinated with the ICO-MOE officers in revamping the old cluttered website and creating an attractive and user-friendly layout based on the Lebanese ministries’ unified and standard look and feel.

Along with the portal development efforts, ArabiaGIS worked with the ICO-MOE stakeholders in collecting and assessing the dispersed and muddled data and presenting them in a well-structured and unified database.

Integrating the powerful features of a content management system to manage the content of the portal, ArabiaGIS utilized the state-of-the-art Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to provide dynamic mapping services allowing visitors to discover the highly interactive and dynamic maps of the Reforestation and Protected Areas.
