    Yemen Electoral Violence Risk Assessment Software

    ArabiaGIS and International Foundation for Electoral Systems - IFES are joining to create a back-office system to assist the SCER and other stakeholders develop an effective strategic elections security plan ahead of electoral events including voter registration, referenda, and elections.

    The Yemen Transitional Democratic Processes Program (YTDP) is an electoral assistance and training program designed to support activities of the Supreme Commission for Elections & Referendum (SCER), and build the capacity to administer elections that are both credible and legitimately open.  

    ArabiaGIS and International Foundation for Electoral Systems - IFES are joining to create a back-office system to assist the SCER and other stakeholders develop an effective strategic elections security plan ahead of electoral events including voter registration, referenda, and elections.  

    The electoral violence risk assessment software should collect and present data based on specific risk assessment methodology.

    The software will enable analysis of the various types of data, and generate analytical reports and thematic maps. The key purpose of the software is to provide information and analysis which will help the SCER and electoral security stakeholders monitor and mitigate risks and to increase their preparedness to respond strategically in the periods before, during, and after electoral events.

     

    The software will allow the SCER and electoral security stakeholders to assess risks, improve internal and external communications, and provide strategic operational recommendations.

    The software will assist in establishing a baseline of information on incidences associated with electoral events and analyze new data to assist in the development of sound strategies to address potential future risks.SCER-ArabiaGIS-IFES-(1).png
